I have a question for you concerning your diagnosis of Restless Nurse Syndrome. From the chart I received at the AACN Conference, I took notice of your Nofriendleosis strain. I’m not quite sure what this means… I do have friends, but I’m not saying I’m popular. Please explain.
Cheers - Ms. Understood
Dear Ms. Understood,
Okay, okay… So you have friends, but do you like them? Of course, most of us have friends… But you can always make new ones. Meeting new people is the greatest thing about life! You’ll be pleasantly surprised to know how much you can learn from the folks you meet. Sometimes you may even run into folks that may already have a connection to your network of friends. 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon anyone? Travel nursing is the perfect opportunity to do just that, expand your network. While on assignment you will meet many new faces, all with different experiences and backgrounds. This can only lead to making you a well rounded person, one who is able to accept the many differences we each share. I don’t know many people like the characters on ‘Friends’, if it were me… I would have got real tired of Chandlers lame jokes and Phobe’s inability to do anything normal. There’s a great big world out there so open your arms and welcome it!
Until next time. Be well.

Posted by Dr. Turbatus in : Airsickness Bags , add a commentSo, as you know I was in Chicago this past week for the AACN/NTI Expo. On my flight home I of course added to my collection of Air Sickness bags… Not to bag on the airline, which I won’t disclose (ding!), but c’mon folks, could you at least add some sort of design element? A plain white bag is not that appealing, I mean, let’s make it into something that I would actually like to use! Besides that, all went well. I finally got to do something that I’ve wanted to since that last trip with my nanna. I was invited to the cockpit and got to see what the pilot does up there, they even gave me my very own set of wings! How cool is that? So now it is official, I am an honorary pilot!!!
